When we got married, life was already in motion. There was a lot to navigate, and a lot we wanted to get to the other side of together. We chose a small, beautiful ceremony with only our immediate families, knowing that what mattered most was simply beginning. We made our promises quietly, with the understanding that the bigger celebration, the music, the dancing, the long table of everyone we love, would come when the time was right.
We always said we'd do it at five years. Five came and went. We're not waiting around for ten.
What we couldn't have imagined, back then, is how rich our lives would become in the meantime. The friendships that have deepened. The new ones that found us along the way. The people who have walked through the complicated, messy, ordinary middle of things alongside us, who have started families of their own, made us aunts and uncles to small humans we adore, and given us a wide circle of love that feels, quietly, like the greatest gift of these years.
So now we're gathering everyone in one place. Not quite a wedding, but something close. A reminder of the kind of love that holds people together, the communities that hold us up, and the quiet belief that there is something bigger than the day-to-day. We are so grateful for each of you, and for the magic of finding each other, and for everything still ahead. We can't wait to celebrate with you.
We have taken over four neighboring haciendas, side by side along a private stretch of beach on Fátima Bay: Jaguar, Mágica, Corazón, and Del Mar. Together they form a small compound of shared private beachfronts, open courtyards, and pools, each with their own unique kind of energy. Each of the haciendas is connected to the other on the inside, with a kind of indoor-outdoor flow where you wander from breakfast on one terrace to afternoon cocktails on another, so the party is always ebbing and flowing but never standing still.
Our dream was to invoke the feel of traditional Indian 'havelis': a big house that holds everyone you love. We wanted all of us to experience this weekend together, so that by the end of it, with any luck, you will feel as close to everyone as the both of us do with each and every one of you.
Below is a summary of the events to get everyone excited for what's to come. We'll be following in short order with more details on the themes and dress code, with mood boards and inspiration images to help with your wardrobe planning. There's also so much to see and do in the area, and we'll be sharing more on that too — both to help you plan the open daytime windows during the trip itself, and for anyone arriving early or extending their stay.
We've reserved all four haciendas for the event between December 3 – December 6 at Riviera Maya Haciendas at a special rate of $450/night.

Many of you have asked, and we love that you're thinking about it. The Riviera Maya is worth more than a long weekend, and a few extra days on either side of the celebration is the easiest way to turn the trip into a proper vacation. The closest major airport is Cancún International Airport (CUN), served by direct flights from most major U.S. cities. From there, the resort is approximately a 60 – 75 minute drive south along the Riviera Maya coast.
For most travelers, we recommend arriving at least one to two days before the event begins. This is especially true for guests flying from the West Coast — flights that arrive the day of the first event will generally land later in the day, unless you're taking a red-eye. Plan to depart on December 6, unless you're extending your stay to spend more time in the area.
There are plenty of licensed shuttle and taxi operators serving CUN. Once we've collected everyone's itineraries and arrival times, we'll share a short list of recommended transportation vendors so you can book your transfer to the Haciendas. Please share your flight details with us as soon as you've booked so we can help coordinate.
A valid passport is required for U.S. and international travelers. We recommend ensuring your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. Most travelers do not need a visa for short stays, but please verify based on your country of citizenship.
